Aircon Pricing and Quotes
Money questions come first on every job, and they should. Here is how quoting, finance and discounts work with Greenwith Air Conditioning, so you know the shape of the bill before you pick up the phone:
How much does air conditioning work cost?
Every job is quoted under Fixed Upfront Pricing: the figure is fixed before any work starts, with no hourly rates and no bill shock. You approve the number before a tool comes off the van.
Do you offer finance for bigger jobs?
Yes. Larger jobs, such as a full ducted changeover, can go on Humm interest-free finance, so you can spread the cost instead of delaying a new system through another summer.
Are there any discounts available?
New customers get $50 off first service, and pensioner households receive a 10% pensioner discount. Both come straight off the fixed quote, so you see the saving on paper before you approve anything.

Licensing and 24/7 Aircon Availability
Refrigerant is regulated, and emergencies do not wait for business hours. These answers cover who is legally allowed to do the work and what happens when your system dies on a hot night:
Are you licensed to handle refrigerant?
Refrigerant work is legal only for licensed technicians. We hold ARC Licence L162586, RAC01 - Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence, which covers installation, service, decommissioning and refrigerant handling.
Do you work after hours or on weekends?
Yes, we run 24/7 emergency availability. Urgent faults get a Within-the-Hour Response where availability allows, which matters on the third 40-degree day when a household has run out of cool air.

Choosing Between Split System and Ducted
Every home in this suburb is different, but the housing stock here follows a few clear patterns. These answers cover the choices that matter most for detached brick-veneer and render homes:
Should I choose a split system or ducted?
Most blocks here are low-density detached homes, so both fit. Single-storey brick-veneer homes from the first stages suit ducted; smaller later builds often do better with two or three splits. We size it on site.
Does evaporative cooling work in this climate?
For cooling, yes. Evaporative systems suit Adelaide's dry summers and cost little to run, but they cool only and never heat, they need windows open, and they use water as well as power.
Can my system heat the house in winter too?
Yes. Reverse cycle splits and ducted systems heat as well as cool, and ducted gas heating is still a strong option for cold Adelaide winters. We quote the heating case alongside the cooling one.
Which brands do you install and service?
We install and service Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu and ActronAir, across splits, ducted reverse cycle and gas heating. Each brand has its own page if you want the detail.

Heating, Cooling and Running Costs
A few final questions come up on almost every call. Here is how often systems need attention, how we approach the repair-versus-replace call, and how far our regular run stretches:
How do I know whether to repair or replace?
We test the system honestly and quote both paths. Units past fifteen years with a failed compressor or control board usually justify replacement, while a healthy older unit is worth repairing.
How often should my system be serviced?
Once a year for refrigerated systems. Evaporative units need pads, water feed and bleed-off checked before summer starts, which is a different service to a split or ducted clean.
Which suburbs do you cover?
We cover Greenwith and the adjoining suburbs of Salisbury Heights, Salisbury East, Golden Grove, Wynn Vale and Modbury Heights. The same team works all of them.
